Laura de Vescovi BATTAGLIA was the wife of Dino BATTAGLIA, illustrator and cartoonist who had a crucial importance, especially on Italian comics. A collaborator of her husband since the 1950s, she was both a co-writer and a collogist. Hugo Pratt was particularly impressed by this last activity. With Dino, she has worked a lot on Catholic hagiographies, notably on Saint Francis of Assisi, on the comic side, we can note The Investigations of Inspector Coke or Puss in Boots.
