RATERA Mike

Mike RATERA is a Spanish comic artist and illustrator, born in Barcelona.
Passionate about comics since childhood, especially American Comics, he graduated from the Massana School of Fine Arts in Barcelona. He then embarked on developing his own techniques for comic drawing and layout, which he popularized through traveling workshops. Noticed by the Joso Comic School in Barcelona, he became a teacher there.
Working on various series, fanzines, and magazines, he overextended himself and somewhat lost direction amidst numerous projects. It was in France that he once again took the time to draw according to his own vision, and that’s where recognition would follow. Working notably for Soleil, he thrived in series such as Bad Legion and Le Chant des Elfes, but also explored a more personal side with a model for an illustration series titled Seffana Vampirique.
