Art print signed and numbered out of 650 copies by Emmanuel Lepage: Anna's Voyages - Sudan.
In June 2004, 10 special prints, taken from unpublished drawings made during the creation of the album Anna's Voyages, are printed for a special edition of the album. A text (signed by Sophie Michel) accompanies each image and narrates the story of Anna and Jules (the alter ego of Emmanuel Lepage), between 1885 and 1910. As the two characters travel to various corners of the world, they blend their discoveries of different places, different ways of life, as well as their mutual discovery of each other.
Support: thick vellum paper.
Dimensions: 40 x 30 cm

Framing option: The frame is made of black wood with a smooth texture and a flat profile with a width of 2.5 cm. Made in France.
Sudan, Kordofan region
May 1886, among the Nuba people.
Do you remember that long and arduous road we took to reach Kordofan? I don't think either of us regretted it, though. The Nuba people welcomed us with a generosity and cheerfulness that we Europeans are not accustomed to.
If you only knew how ridiculous I felt, squeezed in my clothes, faced with their simple nudity! These men and women were so beautiful!
You won't deny it, as you spent your time drawing them...
