AVRIL François

François AVRIL is a French cartoonist and illustrator. He graduated from the École nationale supérieure des arts appliqués et des métiers d'art in 1984 (major of his class). Although claiming to be a comic book artist, Avril is above all a contemporary artist, who sketches the world through illustrations (several covers for the famous magazine The New Yorker), for the press (Libération or Lire) and for publishing. His trait, inherited from the Ligne Claire, is perfectly associated with the urban landscapes that he sketches with an artistic as well as journalistic sense !
