EMEM, whose real name is Mathieu Ménage, is a French comic book writer and illustrator.
Born in Normandy, he discovered comics at a very young age, exploring both Franco-Belgian comics and American comics.
He is self-taught in the art of storytelling and comic book layout.
His first series is Idoles with Mathieu Gabella, published by Delcourt. Also at Delcourt, he took over from Gess for Carmen McCallum, alongside Fred Duval (2009-2016).
In 2018, the adventure of Renaissance began, this time at Dargaud, with Duval and Fred Blanchard (for the initial volumes).
Currently, there are 6 volumes in this science fiction saga with ecological and even philosophical undertones. The visual universe, both poetic and very dense, is a splendid success of its kind.
