RIFF REB’S, whose real name is Dominique Duprez, is a French comic cartoonist, born in Algeria. He grew up in Le Havre after the repatriation of 1962 and it was in Paris, at the Studio des Gobelins, then at the Arts Deco, that he made his first weapons.
He worked for many months on the animated series Les Mondes engloutis, while co-founding the Atelier Asylum with Arthur Qwak, Cromwell and Edith (who became his companion).
His first album was published in 1985 (with Cromwell) : Le bal de la Sueur. He then created the character of Myrtil Fauvette and the three albums that narrate his adventures, before opening the Collection Noctambule, at Editions Soleil.
It is through this collection that he will publish the Maritime Trilogy, which will be a great success (both public and critical).
