Alessandro BARBUCCI is an Italian cartoonist, also working for animation, especially alongside Disney. At 18 he joined Walt Disney Italy and drew for some of the group’s magazines. A few years later, he taught at the Disney Academie la tecnica del fumeto, while participating in various Disney projects, storyboard for cartoons, animation for others, creation for a series about Donald’s early years. From 1997, he works alongside Barbara Canepa, who will become his wife. He draws, she manages the colorization. Together, they created W.I.T.C.H., then the science-fiction series Sky-Doll, of which they are writers together and which counts, to date, 7 albums (4 volumes + 3 off-series). Since 2013, he has been working on the Ekhö monde miroir series, with Christophe Arleston, for Éditions Soleil.
