Jours de Sable is inspired by the great drought that occurred in the early 1930s in what is known as the Dust Bowl (an area affected by winds between Kansas, Texas, and Oklahoma). John, a young photo-reporter, is sent there to report on the situation of farmers during the Great Depression following the 1929 crisis. He will discover a place, men, and women who have lost everything and find himself in the process.
